Armenia e Visa For Business

The e-visa for business issues by the Armenian government to eligible visitors is for business-related engagements in the country. You can visit the Capitol, Yerevan, or any other part of the country to honor a business meeting, attend a fair or conference, meet with suppliers and partners, or any engagement that will not earn you direct remuneration. Frequent visitors can apply for a multiple entry visa that allows for a stay of up to 120 days per visit or a short single entry visa for 21 day stay. The duration of your stay will depend on your nationality.

To avail of this visa, you must provide additional documents like letters, travel Itinerary, and information about your event or host. The border officers may also like to see a return ticket back to your base as proof that you don’t have any plans to turn your visit into a permanent stay. Business e visas are strictly for noncommercial engagements and not for work.

    Armenia Visa Policy

Armenia has a visa policy that allows certain citizens from other countries to visit for tourism or business without holding visas. Visitors from visa-exempt countries may enter the country for any social or business activity that does not warrant them earning remuneration. However, interested visitors who are not from visa-exempt countries must apply for a visa at any foreign mission of the Armenian government or a visa on arrival if they are eligible for that.

The Armenian visa waiver program is implemented on an ad hoc basis because it is not officially a bilateral agreement with other countries. The visa waiver program list is made up of citizens of the Commonwealth States, the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, and countries from other parts of the world.

    Armenia Visa-Free Countries

The length of time visitors from visa-free countries are allowed to stay depends on their nationality. Citizens from Artsakh can stay in the country for an unlimited period while European Union citizens and a host of other nationalities can stay for up to 180 days.  There are also 90 days visa free slots in 365 days and 90 days in 180 days for selected nationalities.

Visa free visitors are not allowed to work innt country or engage in any long term activity that will violate the privilege they are given. Also note that the visa free list is always changing in light of Armenia's diplomatic realities. If you are planning a trip to the country, consult the visa exempt list to be sure of your status so you can decide whether you need a visa or not.

    Visa on Arrival

There is also an active visa-on-arrival program for tourists from selected countries whose citizens will be issued visas to stay in Armenia for up to 120 days for a fee that is subject to change. Nationals from selected countries may apply for the visa once they arrive in Armenia but they may also apply for an e-visa in advance too.

    Conditional Visa on Arrival

There is another set of countries whose citizens may be offered visas on arrival based on some conditions. Visitors who arrive in Armenia with a valid resident card or sticker visa from selected countries will be offered visas on arrival if they have not already applied for an e-visa in advance. Majority of countries whose resident permits and visas are accepted by Armenian immigration are largely first world countries with the majority of European Union nations making the list.

    Armenia E Visa

The electronic visa program is open to all foreign citizens who do not qualify for visa-free entry. This visa allows the holder to stay in the country for up to 21 days or 120 days depending on the nationality. The application for this visa must be submitted online at least 3 working days before the trip and it is only allowed for tourism, business and transit.

Interested applicants must submit a completed application form online after paying an application fee for the visa.  They must also provide a scanned copy of their valid passport bio data page. Furthermore, such visitors must have a return flight ticket for the return journey.

Applying At Armenian Diplomatic or Consular Missions Abroad

Applying at a consulate is only possible if you receive an invitation from an Armenian citizen or a foreign national who is a legal resident in the country.  The letter of invitation must specify the identity of the host and your personal details. It must also contain Itinerary details and the purpose of the trip. If they are the sponsor they must indicate the same in the letter of invitation. Furthermore, letters of invitations must be signed and have the host's house address. open to

Key Information About The Armenia e Visa

Before submitting your application for an online visa for Armenia there are some things to take note of to make your trip and time in the country smooth and enjoyable. We review some of these vital details below.

Apply Early: If you must apply for a visa online, endeavor to do so as early as possible. Applying a week before your trip or at least three days is not a bad idea. Processing often takes 24-72 hours unless there is a complication. Early application will ensure that your e-visa is released on time.

Armenia/Turkey Border: Turkey and Armenia are embroiled in diplomatic tensions, so the e-visa is not open to Turkish citizens. Furthermore, travelers from both countries are not allowed to enter either country using this border. If you are coming from Turkey by land, you should use a different border instead.

Armenia/Azerbaijan Border: Both countries were involved in a short war but are still hostile to each other. The border between both countries is closed to international travelers. If you had planned to enter the country through Azerbaijan, endeavor to reroute your itinerary until further notice when hostilities end and both nations restore diplomatic relations.

Passport: As we pointed out in previous paragraphs, the passport you should use is one with at least 6 months of validity left from the day of your arrival in Armenia. Also, ensure you use the same passport for the trip and the e-visa application.

Nargono Karaabakh: Visitors to the Nargono Karaabakh region will have to obtain a special permit to visit as it is a cause of diplomatic dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Apply Outside Armenia: You can only apply for an Armenian e visa outside Armenia. If your visa is about to expire you only have two options; you may visit the nearest office of the Ministry of the Interior to apply for an extension or you exit the country before re applying for a new visa.

Not For Employment:  This electronic visa is solely for leisure, business and transit and should not be used to seek employment or engage in any form of work to get paid during your stay. There is a special visa for foreign workers in Armenia. Visit the nearest Armenian diplomatic mission to submit a work visa application.
